Energy & Water
We have smart meters fitted across our resort and to all of our lodges. This allows us to track our energy usage and assists us in our energy management plan where we look/invest in further ways to continue reducing our energy output.
In our bid to reduce energy consumption, we’ve upgraded our kitchen with state-of-the-art induction appliances, cutting our gas dependency by 60%. We’ve also installed an air source heat pump for our hot tubs, a more sustainable heating solution. The addition of 35 solar powered, low level lighting bollards across our property has allowed us to cut down on our electricity usage, using the sun’s energy to light our grounds by night.
Motion sensitive lighting is fitted to our public areas including toilets, hallways, function suite and car parks, so energy is only used when required. This includes the use of LED spotlights to our hotel bedrooms & lodges.
Tap/shower/ toilets restrictor figments to reduce water flow throughout our accommodation areas. Urinals fitted with PIR triggered flushing, others are completely waterless.
Due to our proximity to natural water sources, this has allowed us to utilise water from our own borehole. This supply is used to feed our lodges, and water our beautiful grounds.
We’re also increasingly adopting electric-powered solutions. Our maintenance and housekeeping team now use electric buggies to travel around the resort, an electric works van and lawnmower, reducing emissions and noise pollution on our grounds. Moreover, we’ve installed 30 car electric chargers to encourage the use of electric vehicles among our guests.
All our lodges and hot tubs are manufactured and built in Great Britain.
Building Infrastructure

All windows and doors around our resort are double glazed including to our bedrooms and lodges.

Our landscaping projects have seen us plant over 50 shrubs, 40 trees, 40 lavender, 35 buddleia plants, along with 10 cordalines and a 2 wild flower meadows, 1 wildlife lake and 1 natural pond.. Not only do these contribute to a serene and beautiful setting that we are situated, an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, they also support local biodiversity by providing habitats for a variety of insects and birds.
We have designated no mow zones across the resort, allowing the natural habitat to re-wild.
Electric E-bikes and scooters are available for hire for our guests.
