We decided that we wanted to have somewhere to escape to with the dog, have some lovely long walks, with a nice bar to end the day in…to get away from work and the everyday pressures of our busy life.
We stumbled across Brackenborough Lakes Resort in Louth, about an hour away from home. They were having an open weekend, so we decided to pop over and have a look. When we got to Brackenborough, we had a very warm welcome from Tom and Lisa. We had a look at the show lodges and then had a walk around the lakes area.
We found a plot on there that we thought would be perfect. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was perfect…it was then we decided that this would be the ideal spot to spend our free time and our journey as lodge owners began!
We moved into our Lodge on the Lake in November 2023 and we finally have the time to relax and enjoy time together and with friends and family. Our journey didn’t end there! 2 weeks later, we decided to buy 7 Hedgehog Meadows as an investment lodge to rent out but also somewhere that the kids, friends and family could come and enjoy if they wanted to.
